The Chesapeake Bay Garden Club had a merry time at their annual holiday luncheon held at the Indian Creek Yacht & Country Club on December 11th . The event began with drinks and catching up with old friends. Next, a lunch was served consisting of a chicken or salmon entrée followed by coffee and a delicious, fruit topped cheesecake. Everyone enjoyed talking with their friends and being waited on by an attentive country club staff.
Santa arrived early for the club members. “’Twas the Night before Christmas” and all through the room, presents were exchanged with excitement to see which gift each would get. The presents were moved around the room according to a modified version of the poem. When the poem ended, the gift left in one’s hand was your gift. Of course, presents were anxiously opened and shared with other members.
It may have been cold outside, but it was a warm, jolly time inside for all.
